my name is jack. i'm a graphic designer and freelance artist. i spend less time drawing nowadays, but it's still a reliable stress reliever.i've been drawing digitally for over a decade (can't even remember at this point. good ol' paint. i began specializing in pixel art in 2017 as i've always admired pixel art video games. i even wanted to create pixel art for games. it's still my passion and i hope to make a game someday.want to talk about art? drop me a message! i enjoy meeting more artists or art appreciators.
terms of service
please credit my artwork accordingly. if uploading to toyhou.se: use my toyhou.se. if posting elsewhere, it's best to link back to my website!by purchasing my art: you are agreeing that you are only purchasing a license to use my art, and i can revoke that license if you break my terms of service (meaning you cannot use my art). i do not sell my copyright.
general rules
i have the right to refuse anyone of my service for any reason
i have the right to publish my art on any platform
do not claim that you created my art/credit incorrectly
do not alter my art without asking. this includes cropping the signature, destroying the art quality, and drawing over the art without my permission (i am lenient, please ask)
you cannot profit from my art (eg. sell goods). you are welcome to include my art in your character's value when reselling. if you purchased my art with virtual currency, you must use the USD pricing and not the USD conversion of the virtual currency
you must have an illustrated reference. i will not work from descriptions or photos (except for plain animals such as black cats)
when I have limited slots, you may claim any or all slots, but you must provide me with the info within 2 hours, or your spot will be forfeited to the next person
please keep all relevant info in one spot
my prices are fixed, and no amount of begging will result in a discount
adoptables / design rules
do not resell my designs for more than you paid + purchased art (free art does not count toward a character's value and never should)
free designs should always be given away if you don't want them (if you bought art, you are allowed to trade it for the value. do not use the design for monetary profit)
do not replicate my designs (eg. designing children/siblings) for profit
always credit my designs with my toyhou.se account: jakory
do not change my closed species designs without asking (i will usually agree if you ask), however, you can ignore my species lore if you so choose
do not sell, trade, or gift to blacklisted users (list located on my TH)
payment rules
payment is required upfront if paying less than $100. payment plans can be discussed if you are paying more
USD is accepted through paypal ($20+ is invoice only). i may allow other ways, but i am located in Canada, so i don't have access to everything
refunds
i do not offer full refunds! i will keep 10% to pay for my wasted time
for pixel art: you can request a refund at any time before i begin as they are often completed in 1 sitting, and i do not offer previews (exceptions may apply)
for other art: you can request a refund at any time before i begin the lineart, but i will turn your sketch into a YCH that others can buy
if you are too late in asking, i do not offer partial refunds (sorry!)
characters on my site belong to their respective owners, only use what's yours.i will fix errors as long as it was something i overlooked in the original reference you sent me. if your reference was unclear, i will not fix it without compensation. if you change your mind about something, you must pay for any changes.i am happy to update any previous artwork for a discounted price.

recolour commissions are all done on bases created by me. i do not use other people's bases. please don't ask me to, the answer will be no!
